Seattle- Pike Place Market and etc.

I recently got back from a short trip to Seattle. It is an amazing place. These images are from my stroll to and through Pike Place Market just as the sun broke through the clouds.

New Texture on Old Things

This is one building amongst a smattering of old and seemingly abandoned buildings near where I live. I drive by them most days. This day I decided to stop and take pictures.

Canyon

Canyon is our second foster dog through All Aboard Animal Rescue. He's a 1-1.5yr old German Shepherd/Husky mix. He was found one morning leashed to the shelter. He had a huge 24in. slash on his back between his shoulder blades like someone had cut him. He also has a club foot. His back paw was not fully formed when he was born. Both the cut and his foot were badly infected which he made worse from over licking. Now, the cut on his back is healing nicely, however, his foot is still bandaged up. He goes to the vet twice a week to have it checked out, medicine applied, and re-wrapped. It seems like quite the painful process, but Canyon handles it with dignity and not even flinch. I went with him and took pictures of the ordeal (see below). All the vet care is graciously donated through Animal Hospital of Colorado and Dr. Boehmer. Canyon holds no grudges despite all he's been through. He's the kindest and most even tempered dog. He's starting to get a bounce back in his step and loves to go on walks even with a bum foot. He can't be stopped! He's certainly an inspiration.

A Found Beehive

Out on a walk one day I stumbled upon a discarded beehive in middle of a field. It seemed like it would be a good thing to photograph, so I bagged it up and took it home. How it got in the field I don't know. Where it came from I don't know, but it was big, cartoonish big. It was in multiple pieces like someone had bashed it apart. I wonder who won, them or the bees?

Boulder

Boulder is the dog we have been fostering for the last two weeks through All Aboard Animal Rescue. It is the same place we got Buckwheat who changed our lives forever for the better! We wanted to help out however we could, so we decided to start fostering and Boulder is our first foster down this new exciting road. He's a good dog, a one year old or so Australian Cattle Dog mix. He likes to play, go for walks, but especially he likes car rides, and he'll do anything for you as long as you have treats! We hope he finds the perfect forever home.

A Late Afternoon in Fort Collins

Why not two posts in one day? Catching up on some blogging and testing out some new image processes, or is it processi? What is the plural of the plural of process? Indeed. It's been bitingly cold and rather dreary here, but it makes for some interesting sunset shots. Just keep the car warm and work fast!

An Afternoon in Fort Collins

It's been a while since my last post, but still the work continues, sometimes working itself out in the mind and sometimes spilling out into the world. These images are from a very cold afternoon trip to the antiques shop and flea market. The very same one where I took these and these...However, this time I stepped out back to get a different perspective.
