Cliffs of Moher

A few months back I took a trip to Ireland. On the way from Galway to Killarney we stopped at the Cliffs of Moher. It was pretty windy and stormy while we were there, but for a moment the sun broke through the clouds just in time for me to get some of these shots. Ireland just drops off! You can view more of my images from Ireland, here, and more Ireland images are on the way.

A Nod to Pictorialism

A few days ago I felt the urge to get out into nature and photograph something completely different than what I've been shooting, perhaps to keep in balance the photography yin-yang. Since taking a History of Photography class over a decade ago, starting me down the path I'm still following today, the images of the Pictorialists at the turn of the 20th century have stuck with me. They were strange, enigmatic, and beautiful. I also think there's something poetic about using a machine, that was a modern marvel at the time, to achieve effects completely contrary to that idea. Sometimes you've just got to get out there and do something completely different for a new perspective. It was good. I think I'll have to do more experiments along these lines.

Helmet + Bike

A couple new images I've been working on. Helmets are awesome, especially when they look like they could be a Stormtroopers'. Be safe out there, always ride with a helmet!

Seattle- Pike Place Market and etc.

I recently got back from a short trip to Seattle. It is an amazing place. These images are from my stroll to and through Pike Place Market just as the sun broke through the clouds.

New Texture on Old Things

This is one building amongst a smattering of old and seemingly abandoned buildings near where I live. I drive by them most days. This day I decided to stop and take pictures.
