Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, USA

I recently returned from Hawaii where I had the honor and privilege of shooting my sister's wedding. It was a whirlwind 5 day trip and I'm not really sure it happened. However, I have a bunch of pictures that say otherwise and here are just a few.

Goletaville-Day 14

Day 14 was a gray and foggy morning, see bottom picture. Truth be told this is what Santa Barbara/Goleta looks like most times in the summer, but it makes for a beautiful soft light and there are still images to be found.

More from Day 9

These are images I took before the clouds moved in. Here you can see the pier from where I took the shots in my last post.

Fog Drenched Sunsets

The weather in Santa Barbara has been pretty weird all summer. The "may grays" and "june gloom," as they are called in these parts, lasted through july, august, september, and never seemed to go away. Then as "summer" crossed over to fall we began getting giant mounds of fog rolling in around sunset. This, of course, was all before our week long heat wave of 100 degree temps the last week of September. Now it's back and forth between rolling blankets of fog and mist and 80 degree temps. Which all makes for some dramatic and mysterious scenes. These are some seaside images I took during one of the fog drenched sunsets.
